Leisure Activities
Mount Juliet Conrad offers a wide range of leisure activities. Guests can relax in the restful surroundings of its Leisure Centre and Spa, complete with heated pool. Horse riding, golf, clay target shooting, archery, fishing on the clear waters of the River Nore for wild Atlantic salmon and trout, shooting in woodland, tennis, cricket, cycling and croquet are just some of the outdoor leisure options available to the business and leisure residents throughout Mount Juliet's 1500 acres. Walking enthusiasts can amble along a number of specially signposted trails around the estate or simply enjoy the well-maintained formal gardens. Hunting and game shooting are also available nearby.
Golf
The 18-hole championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus has hosted three Irish Open Championships from 1993 to 1995 and many other prestigious competitions. In September 2002 it welcomed the world's best golfers, including Tiger Woods and Padraig Harrington, to the AMEX World Golf Championships. The estate will once again host the AMEX World Golf Championships in September 2004.
Playing over 7000 yards from the championship tees and covering 200 acres, the course suits all levels of golfers. Designed to take advantage of the natural beauty of the landscape, Mount Juliet Conrad also offers a three-hole Golf Academy and golf practice area, including driving bays.

Horse Riding
Mount Juliet has always been synonymous with horses. Close to Mount Juliet House, the Iris Kellett Equestrian Centre stables horses and ponies, which are available for basic and advanced tuition, show jumping, trail riding through the grounds and cross-country jumping on the estate's own challenging course. With the freedom of 1500 secluded acres to enjoy, Mount Juliet provides an exhilarating equestrian experience, which visitors never forget.
Also within the boundaries of the estate is Ballylinch Stud, where the McCalmont family, former owners of the estate, bred many world-famous race horses including The Tetrarch, once known as 'the fastest horse in the history of the turf'. The breeding tradition continues today, and hotel guests are invited to enjoy a personal tour of the stud during their stay.
Clay Pigeon Shooting
The expert and the beginner are equally catered for at the professionally designed Clay Shooting School. All equipment and full tuition is provided for. Clay shooting is a sport that can be enjoyed all year round by individual guests or groups of up to 12.
Archery
The archery ground, in a woodland setting, provides a relaxing introduction to this ancient skill. Again, all equipment and full tuition is provided. Archery is an activity that can be enjoyed by all ages from six upwards.
Angling
Game angling is at its best on the River Nore, with its waters boasting wild Atlantic salmon and brown trout. Anglers are guaranteed a thrilling experience in these unexploited waters.

The Leisure Centre offers a sauna, steam room, indoor 15-metre swimming pool and fully equipped gymnasium.
The Spa
If you prefer the ultimate in pampering, you can indulge yourself in The Spa, which offers a wide range of traditional and alternative health and beauty treatments, including LaStone Therapy, the Dead Sea Discovery Flotation Room and the Relaxation Room.
